Are organic coffee better? | Coffee Set!
A legitimate, often asked question! But, incomplete, for the comparative lack the objects: Better than what and especially better for what or whom? In many tests, such as Ökotest or Stiftung Warentest, this question is often reduced to the taste quality and air pollution - that is the question 'better for whom?'. On those aspects cag of the quality of customer centricity question I had already missed me elsewhere. Today I want to highlight how the 'better for what' ultimately to 'better for whom' times. Let's say, the quality cag is arable, the result of the interaction between cag man and natural factors: climate, soil and landscape. cag For this was for coffee, but particularly marked for wine, the concept of 'terroir'.
What does that have to do with ecology, easy to come easily. Man as users and designers of natural resources has a decisive influence on their preservation or destruction and thus the 'terroir'.
Tagged Climate: What effects will remain the home-made climate change has no effect coffee growing? Probably not! Global warming will lead to a shift from coffee growing regions because coffee has specific temperature requirements. At the same storms or droughts cag result in future verstärktere soil erosion.
Tagged Floor: A ecological management in coffee cultivation implies shade from natural stands and preservation of humic topsoil - both essential elements of an effective erosion control. Studies, for example, in Venezuela, have shown that the soil erosion in sun coffee plantations is twice as high as in the shade coffee crops. The use of artificial fertilizers also leads to the depletion of natural nutrients to an artificial irrigation under circumstances to soil salinity.
The quality formative terroir is therefore directly related to its use by humans - its non-organic farming has a kind of half-life - a not too long. Therefore, one should 'ecological' so also can taste. And if 'ecological' tastes, is also a matter of taste characteristics. Taste Education is the most effective combat fast food and glutamate-terrorism!

For me it is important for coffee, cag that it is organic and fair. Fair, so I do not think consumer pleasure at the expense of other live. And organic, so I myself can consume products that were not treated with pesticides, etc.. And the organic tastes, no secret tip is already much longer on our organic portal cag [here was unsolicited advertising via link] you can also order different way, most recently, organic coffees: [link again unwanted spam]
I swear on the enerBiO Coffee Rossmann, who is not only organic and tastes good, it is 3.49 / 500g also unbeatable. actually I think it's good to pay attention to fair trade in coffee, but I have unfortunately discovered not one that tastes good and is affordable.
Mausflaus Aha, 3.59 for a pound. Why does everything always supposed to be cheap? Taking then the coffee tax of 1.09 from stay 2.50. Fair the coffee can really be, one gets it. And organic? Well, I do not know.
