Centre of Excellence is one of the results REVOGENE project, which is supported by EU structural funds from the Operational Programme Research and Development. Most modern devices allow scientists to examine the causes stages of mitosis of diseases, which hitherto Slovakia could not be identified.
Currently Slovak scientists when examining DNA could only focus on individual or small groups of genes. Deeper analysis of larger stages of mitosis DNA segments were too lengthy and laborious. Scientists in laboratories newly established stages of mitosis research center will use a method based on so-called. new generation sequencing (Next Generation Sequencing - NGS), allowing them to "read" stages of mitosis the entire DNA disproportionately less time. DNA will be possible to examine the complex and also look for interdependencies in an incomparably larger scale, which represents a generational leap compared to the previously used device.
Build the center, which will do research stages of mitosis using NGS methods, Slovakia gets into a position comparable with European research centers. Practical experience gained in the center can capitalize on both basic and applied research and of course will also be a very important contribution to the education of other specialists.
Cooperation between the Faculty stages of mitosis of Science stages of mitosis and by GENETON, which was one of the few companies in Slovakia dedicated to research in molecular genetics, is an example link academic and private sector.
