There is nothing quite as relaxing as a walk through the woods or along the beach. Unfortunately, my kids think otherwise. The cache (treasure) is usually hidden near the end so you can make a walk in practice. It is often a plastic box or casket containing always a log, which you can log the visit. Further, it often contains all sorts of fun goodies, which you can exchange for other goodies. The latter makes it natural for children more attractive.
Geocaching is certainly not new. It's been more than 10 years and so there are people who go geocaching for years. And now that makes it so interesting. Because finding caches is really only half the story. Because although there are many people who limit themselves to finding caches, there is also a large group of people who find it fun to develop. Caches These people have ensured that there are more than 1.5 million ensembl caches are plotted and maintained. It is a very active and friendly community, where you can be part of. There are about 5 million geocachers worldwide. For years I had no idea these people and what a fun hobby they share. That's not crazy. For though it is not a secret, there is an unwritten rule that you keep the caches hidden. You will ensure that "others" do not see what you're doing. This keeps the caches in tact. And thus remains a valuable collection of adventurous quests available to anyone who wants to join. No more searching for a nice walk. Indeed, there are so many caches, even here in the Netherlands, you can do it. Never all Lovely for when you're on vacation and you do not want to visit the local tourist office.
