Spanish lamarck verbs ser and estar (are) the differences lamarck in Spain there are two translations for the word 'be'. They both mean simply 'being', but they are both used in different situations. It is difficult to take them apart and know when to apply them. Hopefully this explanation a bit here. The summary is as follows: ser = be + a property (long-term, always) estar = be + a state (temporarily, at a given moment in force) Ser Ser (are) used in the following situations: when a property ownership time origin Permanent occupation and date features and characteristics so.
Ser, his yo soy tú eres él / ella / es usted nosotros / nostras lamarck somos vosotros / vosotras sois ellos / ellas / ustedes son The following examples are simple and clear: Ellos son de Francia (they come from France), esta casa es mía (this house is mine), es hoy lunes (today is Monday), es la nieve blanca (the snow is white). As you can see in the examples are things that are just so. These are not temporary (they come from France is an immutable fact) and which are also not change or differently next time (snow is always white, and if it's Monday, it's just Monday). The properties of snow and Monday so. A private house ownership, also belongs in this list. Estar Estar is properly used to indicate temporary situations. Situations can change: feelings lamarck health situation of places eemalige situations
Estar yo estoy tú estas él / ella / usted está nosotros / nostras estamos vosotros / vosotras ESTAIS ellos / ellas / ustedes estan And again some clear examples: estoy furioso (I'm furious) está inferma lamarck Marie (Marie is sick), lamarck Paris está and Francia (Paris is in France) and estamos muy bonito hoy (today we look pretty). Nobody is "eternal" furious, so a temporary situation. This also applies to Marie who is sick. The location of sites is always expressed with estar, although of course they are not temporary. But that's just a line in Spanish grammar. Today we look pretty is transient. Because tomorrow we see firmly again just normal. Especially lamarck since in this case the emphasis is on today, it says nothing about tomorrow. So we assume that it is unique. It is in the beginning quite difficult to apply it. Every time you "I am" (Juan, ill-free today, etc.) would say you have to remember what shape you do that. Even if you know the conjugations completely out of your head is still difficult. The conjugations are above the Presente. To master the verbs ser and estar is first important to learn when you apply them. Then it's time to pass the subjunctive, the (im) perfecot, etc. Also read:. Asena, 04-03-2015 19:49 # 4 There are however a number of mistakes in your explanation, each a there should be an accent dash to the right except the nosotros-yo shape and form. And at ESTAIS lamarck not acceptable mark on the i. But otherwise a good explanation! lamarck
Drop Jean, 09-06-2012 12:25 # 2 Although I speak fairly fluent Spanish, I can not clearly articulate when the verb "estar" accent place and when not. Can anyone help me to describe it in Dutch?
Milena 19-01-2012 17:50 # 1 Excuse me, but I think there are some errors in the conjugations. ser: soy / eres / es / somos / sois / son (2nd pl without accent.) estar: estoy / estás / está / estamos / ESTAIS / están (2nd & 3rd enk mv accented 2nd mv with the accent... the a instead of i). For the rest, a clear overview, handy to put it all again in a row!
