The subjunctive is rarely in the Dutch language. A few examples are: go well or live the queen. In Spanish, it is, however, much more often used, and it is not very easy. The subjunctive occurs in main clauses, but especially in subordinate clauses. It is among other things used to express a desire, feeling, uncertainty or denial.
